Caring for someone with a serious illness, or coping with loss, can take a toll in ways most people don't see. Whether you're a family caregiver, a loved one trying to stay strong, or someone dealing with grief, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and alone. But you don't have to go through it alone. That's where support sessions come in.
A support session is a guided space where you can talk about what you're going through. It's private, respectful, and focused on emotional support for people affected by serious illness or end-of-life care. Led by trained professionals, these sessions give you a chance to share your experience, listen to others, and receive help that's actually useful. Some people come to talk, others just want to listen. Both are welcome.
Anyone feeling the emotional strain of caregiving, anticipatory grief, or recent loss can join. You don't need to have the right words or know exactly what you're looking for—just showing up is enough.
Talking to someone outside your immediate circle can ease the pressure. You may feel seen, validated, and more grounded after just one session. It's also a way to learn coping strategies and understand your emotions better. Many people say they didn't realize how much they were holding in until they talked about it. Even if you think you're managing, support can still make a difference.
Registering is easy. You can call the center directly, fill out a short online form, or ask any member of the care team to guide you. There's no complicated process, and you won't be pressured into anything. You can choose between one-on-one support or small group sessions, depending on what feels right for you.
Taking care of someone else is hard. Taking care of yourself shouldn't be. If you feel like you need someone to talk to, this is your sign to reach out.
